Save and open

Save project uses the host’s file controls when available. Otherwise it asks this chat to create and check the complete .mandate file, without opening another browser tab. This needs an assistant turn and file tools; use the returned file link. In a standalone browser, Save downloads a copy in the current page. Each save is an updated copy, not an automatic overwrite of an earlier file. Open project… uses your normal file picker. Earlier public .mandate.json exports still open.

Browser working copies

Working copies are kept in this browser profile. Browser data can be cleared or blocked, so keep a project file as your backup. Use separate browser or computer profiles on shared computers. Opening the saved file in another browser or computer brings its requirements, history and standards with it.

ChatGPT

Open Mandate and your project before asking ChatGPT to work on it. It reads the attached project context and prepares proposal actions. The action receipt confirms when the browser has applied them. Only you approve requirements and prepare engineering in the project panel.

Projects are limited to 4 MB and ten projects per working copy. When reporting a problem, include the version and browser; use sample content where possible.
